The Alliance for Job Order Contracting in Texas is a coalition of diverse organizations working together to grow the awareness and use of Job Order Contracting in publicly funded facilities and infrastructures in Texas. Members of the Alliance are directly engaged in the use of, support of and benefit from Job Order Contracting as a tool to help with facilities construction focused on renovation, remodeling, rehabilitation and repair.

The members include K-12 Public Schools, Colleges & Universities, Municipalities and other facility and infrastructure owners and stewards. Also included in the growing base of supporters are small and minority-owned subcontracting businesses, associations, JOC contractors, vendors and benefactors of professionally run JOC programs.
 

The alliance provides information on Job Order Contracting, best practices on alternative delivery methods, facilitate communication to break down barriers, and help find solutions to the issues and misunderstandings around JOC programs. Members also conduct research and provide evaluation and education.  The role of the Alliance is to bring these diverse organizations in Texas together for collaborative solution building.

Our Mission:

 

To build sustainable support and understanding around professionally designed and managed job order contracting programs in Texas.

Our Goals:

  • Initiate, develop and support collaborative action among publicly funded, private and community organizations to support job order contracting programs.

 

  • Build understanding of and support for job order contracting policies and programs among leaders in government, publicly funded facilities and businesses, and other sectors of civil society.

 

  • Increase the effectiveness of the job order contracting field in Texas by developing networks, disseminating best practices, and enhancing organizational capacities and professional skills.

 

  • Gain support and consensus on Job Order Contracting for publicly funded facilities and infrastructures in Texas.
